About Charlie
I’m a pharmacology undergraduate with a genuine passion for teaching and a long-term goal of pursuing a PhD in neuropharmacology. I started tutoring because I love helping others understand difficult concepts, and over time I’ve found that what I enjoy most is watching students grow in confidence - not just in the subject, but in themselves. My approach is friendly and approachable, but I’ll push you just enough to make real progress. I aim to be more of a mentor than just a tutor, helping students develop skills they can carry forward beyond exams. I take pride in creating a space where students feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, and ultimately succeeding on their own terms.

As a pharmacology undergraduate with Advanced Highers in Chemistry, Biology, and Maths, I bring strong subject knowledge and two years of tutoring experience. I’ve helped Nat 5 students go from failing grades to solid As — and I genuinely enjoy supporting that kind of growth. I like to ask students what they’d like to go over ahead of each session, so I can tailor lessons to their needs. I prepare focused notes, explanations, and follow up with exam-style questions to help reinforce learning and build exam confidence. My teaching style is relaxed, supportive, and adaptable. Whether you're a visual learner or need things broken down step-by-step, I’ll adjust to suit your pace. Lessons are typically one hour, and I mainly work with Nat 5 students, though I can support Higher-level topics too. Whether online or in-person (if you're in Glasgow), I’m here to help.
