About Agiththira

Tamil teaching is important for several reasons. Firstly, it helps preserve and promote the language, which is one of the oldest and richest classical languages in the world. By teaching Tamil, you ensure that future generations can connect with its vast literary, cultural, and philosophical heritage, which spans over two millennia. Tamil is spoken by millions of people globally, making it an essential tool for communication and fostering cultural understanding within the Tamil diaspora. Furthermore, learning Tamil helps individuals strengthen their identity, particularly for those with Tamil roots, and enhances their appreciation of Tamil music, arts, and traditions. Lastly, teaching Tamil also supports linguistic diversity and contributes to the global preservation of languages, which is crucial in a world that is increasingly interconnected yet faces the threat of language loss.
