About Jessica
I am a patient, caring, enthusiastic teacher with a passion for teaching with over 8 years’ experience.
I have experience teaching all subjects in the British national curriculum to primary school aged children in the UK as well as English in different private schools and colleges. I have taught children and adults in a classroom setting, groups and individuals both in the England and abroad.
I have a Postgraduate Certificate of Education (PGCE) in primary school with Qualified Teaching Status and a TESOL certificate, where I can teach English as a Foreign Language. I have a recent DBS.
I am a very empathetic person and have a passion for helping students who find learning challenging. I am a good motivator and try to make learning fun, relevant to their needs and have opportunities for practical applications.
I am available to teach online or in-person in and around the Worthing area.

As a highly organised individual, I enjoy planning and organising the delivery of a varied, appropriately challenging curriculum in Maths and English. I have gained a huge amount of experience in planning and delivering lessons and have experienced a lot of different approaches to it over the years. I realise that there are different learning styles and ensure that I tailor lessons to the student’s needs that expand on previous knowledge and encourage new possibilities, while ensuring that all children are appropriately engaged, challenged and making good progress.
I ensure that each lesson has a clear learning objective and that the learning needs of each student is met in my classes through different activities and real-life situations. I encourage pupils to construct their own learning in an environment that stimulates and helps them to realise their full potential. I assess every individual during the lesson and plan suitable subsequent lessons.
