About Jake
I am a 24-year-old university graduate with a bachelor's degree in the performing arts who has over a decade of on-stage experience. I've been in shows like Grease, Avenue Q, The Addams Family and the Northern premiere of Disney's The Little Mermaid. I've also starred in several pantomimes across the UK. Besides musicals, I've studied and performed in a variety of acting styles including realism, Shakespeare, Greek tragedy, restoration and Brechtian.

As a graduate with a bachelor's degree in the performing arts, I understand how daunting an audition or exam can be. My classes will focus on helping you build your confidence so that you can fully embody your role without hesitation. In these 40-minute sessions, we'll discuss your interpretation of the text in detail and how best to communicate the story both physically and vocally, allowing you to get inside the headspace of your character. Because I find that when you are able to fully lose yourself in the performance, everything else naturally falls into place. My goal is to create a supportive environment that will help you grow as an actor and craft effective performances that are entirely your own.
