About Elsa
My name is Elsa, I’m twenty-one and I’m currently a student at the University of Leeds. I study fashion marketing which involves a lot of journalistic writing styles, critical essay writing and comparison. However, my history studying English Literature through to A Level and achieving 9s at GCSE and an A at A Level provides me with a mix of passion for English literature in areas such as comparative literature and critical analysis, and current practice in skills such as academic critical essay writing, essay planning, and analysis.
As someone with ADHD, I understand what it is like to feel stressed, agitated, overwhelmed or completely bored during school teaching. My experience with this provides me with an empathic approach to tutoring in which my passion for English literature shines through! I aim to deliver a learning experience that is tailored to your needs in which we can work together to develop a learning plan the way that works for you, whilst effectively working through developing areas and curating a love for English.

Achieving two grade 9s at GCSE and grade A at A Level, my passion for English literature drives my want to help others with the subject. Having ADHD myself, I understand how difficult and sometimes overwhelming normal lessons can be in classes of 20+ pupils. I myself started to really excel in the subject in an environment where I could learn more directly, without exterior distractions and divided attention from teaching staff.
My lessons are tailored to individual needs, areas where improvement is desired, and learning styles that require more attentive and one to one learning time in low pressure, relaxed environment.
I believe that the best way to be successful at a subject is through first learning to enjoy it- the rest comes after!
