About Katie
Hello I’m Katie! I’m 18 and I’m from York. I am currently studying at Durham University. I have loved history as long as I can remember, achieveing top grades at GCSE and A-Level. As a subject ambassador at 6th form, I have had 2 years previous experience of tutoring. Our first session is free of charge- we can have a chat about which areas of the subject you’d like to focus on :)

I love to make folders for each of my students, containing past papers, answers I wrote that attained full marks and “cheat sheets” that breakdown exam technique. I alternate between knowledge and exam technique sessions, as I think this is the best way to consolidate what we’ll learn. As a visual learner myself, I like my sessions to be more discussion based than me talking at you for an hour! My style is informal, and I treat the knowledge based sessions almost like we’re gossiping about historical events.
