I'm a professional musician living in Sydney, Australia with over a decade's experience in both teaching and performing/touring. I've spent most of my career working with artists and creatives, touring, writing, recording, and arranging. Through this artist-focused approach, I've developed a unique perspective on music, learning, and what music can bring to different people's lives.

I offer personalised and flexible guitar lessons via Zoom in order to fit into the schedules of real people with full lives. On top of all of that each term of lessons (10 lessons) comes with an optional in-person lesson at my studio in order to address anything that might require in person learning, or even just record some music to see your progress!

Max is hands down the best guitarist I know and has an undeniable skill for tutoring and nurturing the journey and growth for any student he takes on. Couldn’t recommend anyone better to learn from.
I started getting online lessons from Max during Covid and I can say he is the best music teacher I’ve ever had. Not only has he made me a more confident guitarist, encouraging me to get on stage performing, but has given me the tools to write and record my own music, and better understand what it means to be a musician as a whole.
