About Iiam
1. It is a privilege to have more autonomy in my curriculum and be able to draw from many different teaching methods and targeted instructional approaches.
2.I love to be in more control of my schedule.
3.I welcome the added interaction with parents and the ability to formulate a “game plan”. Then, I can expect a greater chance for success.
4.I am paid well for working part-time, and I get to do something I love to do.
5.Serving small groups of students or teaching 1:1 ratio is less stressful and there is less room for misbehavior or other distractions. It helps that parents are footing the bill. Kids know they must reach the learning goal and they focus more.
6.I work with adult learners as well, and it is rewarding to know that I am having a meaningful impact in their academic career (and lives, in general).

I think that teaching is a vocation. It is a privilege to be a teacher and to be able to help others. Learning is the only way that we can cure the ills of the world so being a teacher is a big responsibility. I became aware of wanting to be a teacher when I worked as a nurse. I loved to educate patients and students alike.
