About Carla
I have been writing songs for more than 10 years and I am currently finishing a degree in Music Production from Rec Música (an affiliate of Berklee College of Music). Previously, I started a degree in Latin-American Literature at the Universidad Iberoamericana and validated English in high school with Literature A1 from the International Baccalaureate's program. I am currently undergoing an internship with Efra Ardila (Colombian composer who has worked with artists like Yahir), becoming part of different projects and diving into the world of musical education as a auxiliary during his classes and courses.

I like to carry out an incorporation of musical and literary theory with artistic practices, merging concepts from both disciplines in order to generate a holistic sense of the work and thus be able to approach the practice of composition as more than just the assignment of a melody to a lyric and vice versa. Simultaneously, I apply methodologies that focus in the individual approximation to art, promoting an empirical growth in every student that goes according to their own goals and interests. The course is aimed at anyone who is looking forward to developing their compositional and writing skills, regardless of any previous knowledge or lack thereof; art is of whoever wants to make it theirs.
