Sessions typically last 60 minutes, but longer lessons can also be facilitated. The student should identify the topic(s) or chapter(s) they would like to address prior to the session and communicate this to me. Mathematical problems are solved during the class through an online whiteboard, showing the student how to approach the questions. Lessons are based on practical exercises where the student learns by doing and solving the problems with a supervised approach. I tailor the classes to the specific needs of the student, helping them achieve their goals and improve their grades.

  • 1) When did you develop an interest in your chosen field and in private tutoring?

I've been tutoring since I am 18 years old in subjects such as Math and Music. I realised I like to develop my students and help them achieve their goals.
  • 2) Tell us more about the subject you teach, the topics you like to discuss with students (and possibly those you like a little less).

I like to teach all the topics in Math, specially statistics, geometry, trigonometry for the students finishing high school. In university I love to teach Differential equations, control theory and Physics
  • 3) Did you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you?

During my career I've met great teachers that helped me develop during my career. One of my main role models is Steve Brunton a control Theory professor that is capable of simplifying topics that are normally very challenging.
  • 4) What do you think are the qualities required to be a good tutor?

Patience, love for the subject and dedication.
  • 5) Provide a valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school.

I love to see my students accomplish their goals and see their progress with time. I have multiple students who have granted me the opportunity to assist their graduations.
  • 6) What were the difficulties or challenges you faced or are still facing in your subject?

Main difficulty was to develop a methodology that allows the students to learn online. With the technology of today it has been possible to demonstrate mathematical solution online and teach complete courses online.
  • 7) Do you have a particular passion? Is it teaching in general or an element of the subject or something completely different?

I love to design complex engineering products. In order to accomplish this, big teams are normally involved during the process. During this process I love to develop people professionally and help them accomplish their goals.
  • 8) What makes you a Superprof (besides answering these interview questions :-P) ?

I always assure my students that they have accomplished their goals. I allow my students to come with questions during the lessons and I tailor the teaching method to every student.
