About Emily
I am a first year PhD student holding both BA and MA degrees from Newcastle University, at 1.0 and 2.1 grades respectively. Currently, I am researching the Creative Non-Fiction genre and female coming-of-age narratives for my doctorate. I hope to teach creative writing in higher education setting one day.

My teaching methods vary for Literature and Creative Writing, the latter offering a bit more freedom of movement than the former. My first (free) session will be spent getting to know how my tutee prefers to learn and where they require help. I will then tailor following sessions to their needs - everyone learns differently! I teach from GCSE level, up to university level. Having been an undergraduate myself, I know essay feedback and discussion sessions are useful at university level, even as one-offs, so I am happy to offer these.
