About George
I recently submitted my PhD thesis in History and Religious Studies through a joint doctoral program between the University of Ottawa and INALCO/Sorbonne Paris-Cité in Paris, France. My academic path has been international, rigorous, and deeply rewarding, and I have had the privilege of receiving awards and recognition for my research and academic work.
Teaching has always been one of my greatest passions. Having worked closely with students in university settings, I understand how important it is to make complex material feel clear, manageable, and even enjoyable. My goal is to create a supportive and professional learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, developing their ideas, and improving their confidence.
I bring both strong academic training and a friendly, patient approach to my lessons. Whether we are working on historical content, essay writing, research methods, or exam preparation, I take each student’s goals seriously and adapt my teaching to their needs. My aim is simple: to help students understand better, write better, and feel more confident in their studies.

My tutoring approach is designed to make history clear, engaging, and genuinely enjoyable. Instead of treating history as a long list of dates and names, I bring the past to life through images, videos, maps, readings, discussions, and storytelling. My goal is to help students understand not only what happened, but why it mattered, who was involved, and how different events, cultures, and ideas connect.
Each lesson is fully adapted to the student’s needs. We can review course material, clarify difficult historical periods, prepare for exams, brainstorm essay topics, build strong outlines, improve research skills, or go through written assignments line by line. Whether you need help understanding a lecture, developing an argument, or polishing an essay, the lesson is built around your goals.
What sets me apart is my multidisciplinary and story-driven approach. I connect history with culture, religion, politics, geography, art, literature, and everyday human experience. This makes the material easier to remember, more meaningful, and much more interesting. History should not feel dry or overwhelming — it should feel like discovering the world through the lives, choices, and struggles of real people.
My lessons are ideal for CEGEP and university students studying history, humanities, religious studies, civilization, writing, or research-based courses. I also work with students who need help with essays, assignments, exam preparation, and academic confidence. I can also adapt my style for younger students who would benefit from a clearer, more accessible introduction to history.
