About Josephine
Passionate about Mathematics, and gain priceless contentment when students conceptually, academically, and mathematically 'get it'. Teaching is both a profession and a hobby. Mathematics is often a difficult and hard to grasp subject at school. Complex concepts and limited time at school often lead to missed explanations and confusion. However, once the concept is taught well and understood, it is revealing and useful.

Lesson settings: Small group of pupils to ensure focus and concentration, Clear concepts taught using simple-to-understand examples and use cases, Proactively addressing students' concerns and confusion especially on more complex mathematics topics Lesson approach: Normally start with going through the concept of a selected topic, followed by going through questions that are normally given in the Olympiad competitions. The age range for Olympiad mathematics is 9 to 17 years old (Primary school year 4, up to upper secondary level). For school mathematics, it is tailor-made to the needs of each student. We could do as above, but sometimes the children may have their own questions, hence we will go through these additional questions as well. The lesson lasts for 1 hour if it is one student, or 1.5 hours for two or more students. The age range for school mathematics is 10 years old to 17 years old (Primary school year 5, up to upper secondary level).

Highly qualified maths tutor who has been helping my child to pick up and train for math olympiads. Very flexible approach and appears to enjoy her craft. Would recommend to others
Josephine has been tutoring me throughout both IGCSE Add Maths and IB Maths AA HL courses, helping me achieve an A grade and a 7/7 respectively. She is very good at explaining mathematical concepts from multiple different angles to reach a way that makes the most sense. She also prepares tailored materials between lessons based on where I need the most help, and is also very good at giving easy-to-understand overviews of complicated units, which also builds an understanding behind WHY a concept is the way that it is. 10/10 would recommend to others.
Josephine has helped my younger son with Olympiad Math style questions for a number of years. He enjoys her teaching style and methodology. She adapts very quickly to different topics and questions with clear, thorough explanations and ensures he understands before moving on.
Josephine has also helped my older son on Additional Mathematics topics and Higher Level IB Mathematics. She is very dedicated to her students. When either of my sons feel that they need some extra support before an exam or an Olympiad she tries her best to fit in extra classes, sometimes at short notice and for this we are very grateful. I would highly recommend her.Josephine has helped my child development in mathematics subject tremendously.
She is able to simplify and teach the subject well.Josephine has lots of experience in tutoring young children. She explains complicated maths using simple and fun language that is easy to understand and engaging. Maths tutorials are now fun and not boring..!
