About Amelia
Hello!
I’m Amelia. I am currently doing a PhD in Mathematics, but I also have a masters and undergrad degrees in the subject too.
I have been tutoring for 10 years now and have experience both online, in one-to-one sessions, and in classroom environments.
I absolutely love maths and enjoy helping others to love the subject too. Most students don’t learn well in a classroom environment (myself included!) so I love to help others in their most preferred and comfortable setting.

Every student learns in different ways, and most don’t thrive in classroom-based environments. Your first session with me is based on getting to know you, your goals for the sessions, and your preferred method/s of learning. From here on, I will formulate a tutoring plan based on how often, and for how long, you wish to be tutored. We will review this often.
At the end of each session I will set you some work to go away with and review after class. This will usually be interactive, and will involve us going through at the start of the next session to consolidate your learning. The rest of the session will be guided by what you are not comfortable with and what’s next in the syllabus to keep us on track to reach your goals.
Some students prefer help right up to exam seasons, whereas others prefer a little one off nudge here and there. I will be in constant coordination with you/your adult/your school teacher (if wished) to ensure we are on the right track and are going at your desired pace.
I have experience tutoring both in person and online, and for exams and one-off catch up sessions.
