About Lance
Lance is a Professor of Music and vocal coach in the Austin area. He holds a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Vocal Performance from the University of South Florida, and a PhD in Music Theory with a related field in Vocal Pedagogy (teaching) from the University of North Texas.
When he is not teaching college-level music courses, Lance offers online and in-person instruction to people that are trying to make music a bigger part of their lives, and tutoring for musicians that are seeking to apply for graduate programs.
Whether you are working preparing for your next (or first) audition, or a music-lover looking to try a new hobby, Lance offers personalized attention to every student, at every level.

Lance's greatest expertise are as a vocal coach for all styles, and in training general musicianship skills, but he also offers lessons and coaching for saxophone, piano, songwriting, and voice therapy. Lance offers a comfortable learning environment for students of all levels.
For singers, he has specialized training to detect and correct anything that may be getting in the way of a healthy, musical singing sound. He also has a deep understanding of musical structures and expression to help you understand and perform your music soulfully and artistically.
