About Philipp
Hello! I’m Philipp, a physicist with a PhD from the University of Melbourne and more than 10 years of tutoring experience in physics and maths. My tutoring journey began in high school, when I discovered how rewarding it is to help others tackle challenging problems and gain confidence in their studies. Since then, I’ve taught privately, worked as a Teaching Assistant for university physics courses, and supervised students in research settings.
My approach is calm, patient, and adaptable to each student’s learning style. I generally focus on problem-based learning, guiding students step by step through exercises so that they build both confidence and independence. My goal is to help students develop a deep understanding of the underlying concepts, which naturally translates into better results in exams and assessments.
For high school students, I keep lessons aligned closely with the syllabus and exam requirements, while for adult learners or those curious about science more broadly, I enjoy bringing in real-world examples and even insights from my own research.
