About Alex
Hello! I’m Alex, a dedicated physics tutor with a PhD, Master's, and Bachelor's degree in Physics. With over 8 years of experience studying the intricacies of the physical world, I am passionate about helping students understand and appreciate the wonders of physic, no matter their starting point.
My teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that anyone can learn and excel in physics with the right guidance and encouragement. I work to break down complex concepts into approachable, real-world examples, helping students see how physics shapes everything around us— from the smallest of particles to the largest galaxies. I also focus on building confidence in problem-solving, emphasising a patient, structured approach tailored to each student's unique learning style.
Whether you’re working towards GCSEs, A-levels, or simply aiming to deepen your understanding of physics, I’m here to support and inspire you along the way. Let’s unlock the potential of physics together!

Delivering lessons from a GCSE to a masters degree level, lessons are between 45 minutes to an hour in length. I have a PhD, masters degree and a bachelors degree in Physics with experience in delivering university classes.
My approach to personalised tutoring is:
Assessing prior knowledge and building a strong foundation in core concepts.
By using active learning techniques to break down problems and encourage active problem solving to help the student reach answers independently.
By adapting the teaching style to the students learning style via visual, auditory and kinesthetic teaching with flexible pacing to ensure thorough understanding before progressing.
Exam preparation and mock testing can be organised and arranged.
