About Son
I am currently a PhD student in Physics at the University of Cambridge. Previously, I studied my undergraduate degree in Physics (MSci) at Imperial College London, where I received First-class Honours along with the Ken Allen Prize which is awarded to five undergraduates for academic excellence. In A-Levels, I have achieved 7 A-levels (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physical Education and EPQ).
I have over 6 years of tutoring experience and worked at ElevenPlusExams for 3 years, where I have developed materials for both teaching and publication, authoring a mathematics dictionary and publishing exam papers. Also, I have taught university students at the Blackett Laboratory, Imperial College London, during my master's degree and I am currently involved with demonstrating and marking undergraduate work at the University of Cambridge.

I enjoy teaching science and mathematics at various levels, both individually or in small groups. This includes 11+, GCSE, A-levels and undergraduate degree level. I can also help with applications to top UK universities, having personally received unconditional offers from Imperial College London, University College London, King's College London and the University of Durham before my admission to Cambridge. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

Son was a former work-colleague at Imperial College London and it was a pleasure working with him. Son has shown incredible enthusiasm in teaching and I believe he is formidable mathematics tutor. Son has a great foundation in mathematics from his degree in Physics. Son's key skills are being a great listener and adapting his teaching style to suits those of his student. He has helped solidify rigorous topics to a number of students and increased their confidence. I would highly recommend Son for mathematics tuition.
Son is studious, reliable and extremely intelligent. He has the utmost patience with other people and that is one of the most important qualities a tutor should possess. He is an avid listener which means he will understand his students in order to educate and guide them the correct way. Each student works differently and Son is adaptable to all situations to bring the best out of someone. He respects everyone equally and motivates others with his enthusiasm towards learning and growth.
I knew Son because he was my maths tutor for 2 years. Son is a very patient tutor who is very good at explaining complex concepts in a straightforward manner. My grades have improved significantly since Son started teaching me and I would recommend him to other students as he is very good at helping students to solve challenging problems by guiding them step by step and he has excellent logical reasoning.
Maths has always been a weak point of mine from GCSE to A-levels. Ever since i started Learning from Son 2x a week, not only did my grades improve dramatically, i gained lots of confidence through continuous encouragement. The lessons are well personalised to match my level of understanding, and most importantly, he has always been able to help me understand difficult questions easily by providing various different approaches. I highly recommend Son!!!
Son is an amazing teacher. He is very professional, friendly and has a great attitude to teaching others. His knowledge and educational background is superb. I would highly recommend!
Songyo has been a great help getting me to understand machine learning. His clear, straight forward but creative explanations make a difficult concept simpler to grasp. He is very patient with the learning process and always manages to undertand my thought process so he can adjust himself to the way I think. He quickly recognises the problems and comes up with logical solutions for better understanding. I will continue to learn with him, 100% recommend !!
Son is a great teacher. I thought undergraduate students along with him at Imperial College London. He is great at understanding students' questions and how to explain things so that that particular student is able to understand it.
I've also known him do multiple tutoring and he's always received such great feedback from his students. I can tell he truly cares about each and every student and always does the best to help them.
I'd definitely recommend Son.Songyo was one of the best tutors I have had. He was very patient, understanding and he made me feel comfortable to ask questions. Songyo would always check to see if I truly understood and it really made me think.
If I didn’t get something he would explain it in different ways and that really taught me a lot.View more recommendations
