Teaching Approach & Methodology
I teach Mathematics and Physics using a step-by-step, scaffolded approach that helps students build confidence as they master each concept. My lessons focus on breaking down complex ideas into manageable parts, using clear explanations, visual aids, and real-world examples. I encourage students to ask questions, think critically, and develop problem-solving strategies rather than memorizing procedures.
I also incorporate diagnostic questioning, guided practice, and targeted feedback to ensure students truly understand each step before moving on. For international students, I pay special attention to language clarity and cultural differences in curriculum expectations.
A standard lesson runs for 60 minutes, which allows enough time for explanation, guided practice, and independent problem-solving. For exam preparation or advanced topics, I also offer 90-minute sessions when deeper focus is needed.
I hold a PhD’s degree in Physics and a teaching qualification specializing in Mathematics and Science education. I have over 25 years of tutoring experience, including working with overseas students from Europe, Asia, and the Middle East who are preparing for university foundation programs.
My background includes classroom, online teaching and one-to-one tutoring, giving me a strong understanding of diverse learning styles and curriculum standards.
My lessons are suitable for:
High school students (ages 13–18) studying Mathematics or Physics
International/overseas students needing support with English-language explanations of technical concepts
University foundation or first-year students who need reinforcement in core math and physics principles
Adult learners returning to study or preparing for technical exams
