About Farida
I am a PhD researcher in Economics at Newcastle University with a strong academic and professional background in economics, econometrics and quantitative analysis.
I have experience teaching Quantitative Methods and Data Science at university level, supporting students with statistics, regression analysis, R programming and applied research. Before starting my PhD, I worked as a macroeconomic analyst and researcher, developing forecasting and econometric models and producing economic research.
I hold both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees with Honours and enjoy making complex economic and quantitative concepts clear, intuitive and approachable. I am patient, supportive and adapt my explanations to each student’s level and learning style.

My lessons focus on building a clear and intuitive understanding of economics and econometrics rather than simply memorising formulae. I explain complex concepts step by step, using practical examples, visual intuition and empirical applications.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes and are tailored to each student’s level, course and goals. I can help with Econometrics, Economics and Macroeconomics, including regression analysis, causal inference, time series, inflation and monetary economics, as well as quantitative research skills.
I am a PhD researcher in Economics at Newcastle University with experience teaching undergraduate students. My lessons are particularly suitable for university students who want to strengthen their understanding, prepare for exams, or develop the quantitative skills needed for coursework and research.
