About Hannah
I am a Doctoral Researcher working towards my PhD in English Literature. I have degrees in BA English and MA Victorian Studies and graduated from both with the highest award. I'm an aspiring academic currently working full-time as a researcher at a Top 10 UK University.
During my school years I found exams extremely stressful and allowed this to hold me back. It wasn't until I began my undergraduate degree that I was able to break out of my comfort zone and push myself academically. University allowed me to explore education in a new light and I would like to encourage current students to continue pushing themselves and testing their potential.

I offer tutoring sessions for undergraduate students working towards exams and degrees in English Literature. My sessions are typically around 1 hour and focus on written expression; formulating an argument; understanding questions; and exploring new and original ideas. I am happy to support students seeking help with anything from writing techniques to tips and tricks for tackling an undergraduate dissertation. I am an experienced scholar currently undertaking a full-time PhD in English. In 2020, I graduated with a First Class Honours degree in BA English. I then undertook a Master's degree in Victorian Studies (English and History) - I graduated with a Distinction and my MA thesis was awarded the MA Prize for Best Dissertation in English. I have since been awarded a fully-funded studentship to continuing researching and complete my PhD.
