About Ella
I attended a grammar school and passed within the top 2% of the cohort, as well as receiving 100% in all elements of the Kent test. With this in mind, I am very comfortable teaching younger students how to not only excel in these tests, but feel confident taking them and applying this knowledge to broader subjects.
In addition, I have experience tutoring A-level students in a range of subjects, notably psychology. I receiving A*AA in my Psychology, Philosophy and Government & Politics A-levels, respectively, and attained 13 GCSEs ranging from A*-B.
I then went on to study Philosophy BA at the University of Bristol, receiving a high 2:1, and then a Masters of Science in Migration and Mobility Studies in which I received a distinction.
I also received one of the highest grades in the year for my dissertation on medical tourism in the UK, and this paper is in the process of being published in an academic journal.
I have also been awarded a scholarship by the UK Research Council to continue with my research on migrant healthcare in the UK, which will begin in September 2021.

As a PhD student, I have plenty of experience in all manner of papers, essays, exams, research and so on. I am hoping to pass on some of this experience to students who are interested in excelling academically at any level, including 11+ entrance exams.
I have been tutoring for nearly a year now and feel confident in my ability to connect with and empower students of all ages and abilities to excel in academia.
As I will be tutoring alongside my studies, I hope to provide a few 1 hour lessons a week to a range of students. My timetable will be flexible and so I can work alongside what suits both the student and their family. I am also available to do in person tutoring once COVID restrictions have changed, but am happy to teach online as well.
