About Isabel
A hardworking PhD student enthusiastic about sharing my love of chemistry and maths with the wider world. I have a master's degree in chemistry from durham university and am currently studying for a PhD at UCL. I have experience teaching both online and in person with student levels ranging from 11+ to degree level. I have also taken science workshops for groups of around 10 children getting them engaged with science from a young age is a big passion of mine. In terms of my teaching style I like to get some examples of work carried out by the student before meeting to teach them so I can get an idea of their learning style and what their strengths and weaknesses are. I will then apply this information to my teaching sessions so that each student gets a tailored session that caters directly to their needs. I will happily go through any work with students including homework or class sheets or I will happily provide my own work for the students to go through in case a new perspective is what is needed to help them find clarity in all the mess! I am currently only able to teach online but this does mean that my hours are flexible and I am able to teach at late notice. I look forward to hearing from any potential students :)
