About Luisa
I am a University student studying for my Bachelor's in Philosophy and History. I have resources for different curriculums. I will be most useful to GCSE and A-Level students looking to catch up or improve their Philosophy and History skills.
As someone who has a genuine interest in both history and Philosophy, I have a wide range of knowledge that goes beyond the typical curriculum to encourage students to expand their own and hopefully enthuse them of the most interesting parts of both subjects.
However, I am aware of how hard essay-heavy subjects like History and RS can be and having spent years figuring out the skills needed, I am enthusiastic about sharing them.

I have tutored for groups of GCSE students and have run A-Level cram sessions to help students with exams. I have extensive revision resources to help students so they can effectively spend time learning and revising.
I will typically begin by assessing students on their knowledge and ability, to help figure out how to best help them. This can be simple questions such as “What are you struggling with?” or “What do you want to improve?” I will never force a student to take any form of examination.
If they struggle with content comprehension or retention then I will structure lessons to ficus on improving this. If their skills such as essay writing or analysis need improvement I will focus on technique and explaining in depth what examiners will be looking for.
I create PowerPoints and flash cards for students to use to help broaden their knowledge. I also can offer a wider look at complex topics to help students gain a deeper understanding that they might not in school.
I can go over past tests or essays and help students improve on their skills. Often this is in focusing on analysis and explanation, as many students tend to fall shorter in this criterion than others.
