About Peter
I'm Peter Trainer, a professional photographer and creative based in Noosa on the Sunshine Coast. My work spans portrait, beauty, fashion and product photography, alongside retouching, graphic design, branding, video and AI imagery.
I bring these disciplines together in practical, personalised lessons. You can focus on taking better photographs, refining an image in Photoshop, developing a visual identity, or exploring how AI can support a creative idea. Beauty, skincare and product imagery are particular areas of interest in my work.
My approach is hands-on and tailored to your starting point. We work through your questions and projects step by step, with clear explanations and constructive feedback. Beginners, photographers, creatives and small-business owners are welcome.
Lessons are available online or at my studio by arrangement. Tell me what you would like to create or improve, and we can discuss the right starting point.

In-person lessons take place at Peter’s studio, by arrangement. Online lessons are also available by webcam.
Learn to create stronger photographs and visual content through one-to-one lessons tailored to your goals. Choose a focused topic or work through a project from idea to finished image.
Topics we can cover:
• Photography: camera settings, exposure, composition, natural and studio lighting, portraits, beauty, fashion and products.
• Photoshop and retouching: image selection, colour, skin and product retouching, compositing and preparing images for use.
• AI imagery: turning a brief into visual concepts, writing and refining prompts, assessing results, and combining generated elements with your own photography.
• Graphic design and branding: visual direction, mood boards, colour, typography, logo concepts and consistent imagery for a brand or campaign.
• Video: practical editing in Final Cut Pro and shaping short visual stories for a portfolio or social media.
Beauty and skincare projects are especially welcome. We can explore lighting, textures, product presentation and a consistent visual style.
Lessons combine demonstration, guided practice and feedback. Beginners can build solid foundations; experienced creatives can bring a specific challenge or portfolio project. You do not need to study every topic.
Before we meet, send your experience level, camera or software, what you want to learn, and a few suitable times with your time zone. We will agree on a practical starting point and any equipment or software needed.
