I met Alex whilst working on X-ray imaging through a placement, and was lucky enough to experience first hand what a great teacher he is. He explained complex technical concepts clearly and patiently, never made me feel bad for asking questions, and was always happy to go through things again from a different angle. He took the time, even outside placement hours, to make sure I understood why things worked, not just how to do them, which made me far more confident working independently. His scientific competency and technical skills are excellent, and he's just as good at passing them on. I'd recommend him to any student, whether a beginner or already experienced.
