About Navya

With over 8 years of tutoring experience and an MSc in Engineering Physics, I bring an evidence-based approach to teaching environmental physics. My focus areas include climate change, renewable energy technologies, and atmospheric processes. I believe that understanding our planet requires a blend of hard science, critical thinking, and global awareness. In every lesson, I incorporate real-world data sets—whether from satellite imagery, renewable energy grid performance, or climate modeling research. Students learn not only to interpret this data, but also to consider its implications for public policy and sustainable innovation. We tackle questions like: How do energy efficiency improvements scale globally? What physics underlies the intensification of storms? I’ve supported environmental science majors, climate activists, and professionals seeking to expand their technical skills. My teaching style is highly interactive, encouraging learners to challenge assumptions and explore interdisciplinary perspectives. We use physics to connect the dots between environmental science, technology, and economics. Physics can be a bridge between scientific knowledge and impactful action. My goal is to give students the tools to cross that bridge with confidence. Together, we can turn complex environmental challenges into opportunities for creative, sustainable solutions.

I believe Physics comes alive when theory meets computational tools. My teaching approach blends core concepts with skills in computer modeling, data visualization, and numerical problem-solving. We also work on scientific programming basics so students can explore simulations firsthand.

I tailor lessons to each learner’s goals, from mastering coursework to excelling in research projects. Many of my students are Research Assistants or Nuclear science learners, and we dive deep into simulations that mirror real-world experiments. This builds both understanding and confidence.

We use visualizations to clarify abstract ideas, turning equations into interactive, observable phenomena. I encourage a “learn by doing” approach where students test models, interpret data, and refine their methods.

By providing clear steps and supportive feedback, I help learners tackle even the most challenging topics. The emphasis is on building problem-solving independence and celebrating growth along the way. Physics becomes not just something to study, but something to actively create and explore.
