About Likai
Hello! I'm genuinely passionate about helping students unlock their full potential in mathematics. With a Ph.D. in Physics, I bring a strong academic foundation and a deep understanding of complex mathematical principles. My career has spanned diverse roles, from Associate Professor to a Field Bioinformatics Scientist and CTO, working on cutting-edge applications of mathematics in genomics and medical research. This extensive background provides me with unique insights into the practical relevance and real-world applications of the math concepts we'll explore. I want to teach because I believe that a solid grasp of mathematics is crucial for academic success and critical thinking. Having worked in both research and teaching, I understand the challenges students face and am committed to providing clear, patient, and professional guidance. My aim is to inspire confidence, demystify challenging topics, and help every student build a strong, systematic mathematical foundation that will serve them well in their studies and beyond.

- Systematic Frameworks: Connecting mathematical ideas for a strong understanding.
- Bilingual Instruction: Fluent in both English and Chinese for effective communication.
Typical Lesson Length:
While lessons are usually one hour for effective focus and review, I am happy to adjust the duration to be shorter or longer to best suit the student's individual needs and learning goals.
Who Are My Lessons For?
I tutor students from Primary to University levels:
- Primary, Middle, and High School Mathematics (Queensland curriculum).
- University foundational math courses (Calculus, Linear Algebra, Probability & Statistics).
- International students needing help with math and science assignments and exam preparation.
My goal is to empower students to achieve their academic aims and foster an appreciation for mathematics.
