About Shiv
My journey into physics is driven by an insatiable curiosity about the universe and a commitment to rigorous research. As a student researcher at MIT-WPU, I have dedicated myself to mastering the complexities of astrophysics and quantum theory through both academic study and hands-on experimental work. Recently, my hard work culminated in qualifying for the highly competitive IIT JAM, an achievement that reflects my deep technical proficiency and dedication to the field. Currently, I am expanding my research horizons by initiating a project at the Physical Research Laboratory (PRL), focusing on the observational study of radio-loud variations of Active Galactic Nuclei.
I believe that true understanding comes from bridging the gap between theoretical models and real-world application. My background includes developing sophisticated data reduction pipelines for the GMOS-North observatory at IUCAA and designing microstrip patch antennas. This diverse experience allows me to offer more than just textbook knowledge; I provide my students with the perspective of someone actively working within the scientific community. Whether we are navigating the intricacies of computational physics using Python or breaking down the fundamental principles of electrodynamics, I aim to empower my students to think like researchers. My goal is to create a supportive, professional environment where you feel confident tackling your most challenging academic objectives.

My methodology is rooted in active engagement rather than passive listening. I leverage a professional pen tablet and digital whiteboard to facilitate real-time visual derivations, ensuring that complex physics and mathematical concepts become intuitive. I don't just teach the formula; I explain the underlying methodology used by working scientists.
Typically, a session begins with a brief diagnostic check of the student’s current progress or roadblocks. We then move into a structured, interactive lecture where I will use computational visualization to demonstrate key concepts. We conclude with a problem-solving segment where I guide the student through challenges, reinforcing their independent thinking skills.
What sets me apart is my dual identity as a student researcher and a qualified educator. Having recently qualified for the competitive IIT JAM and currently initiating a research project at the Physical Research Laboratory (PRL), I provide my students with a unique, modern perspective on physics that goes beyond the textbook. I am highly proficient in scientific computing tools like Python, which I integrate into lessons to help students master both theoretical and computational physics.
These classes are specifically intended for High School students and college-level undergraduates preparing for rigorous physics curricula. Whether you are tackling Quantum Mechanics, Astrophysics, or Electrodynamics, I am here to provide the structured, research-oriented guidance needed for your success. I am committed to tailoring my instruction to match your unique learning pace and academic goals.
