About Reid

I am a Physics tutor with over 4 years of experience and a PhD in Physics, specializing in space exploration and rocket propulsion. I love helping students understand the principles that make spacecraft fly and missions succeed. My teaching covers orbital mechanics, gravitational forces, reaction principles, and the fundamentals of spacecraft design.

I use real-world space mission case studies to show how physics shapes exploration beyond Earth. Celestial mechanics simulations allow students to visualize orbits, trajectories, and gravitational interactions in an interactive way. Lessons are structured to build both conceptual understanding and practical problem-solving skills.

I enjoy guiding students through challenging topics while making learning engaging and accessible. Assignments and projects often involve designing simple models and simulations, helping students connect theory with application. My approach encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and hands-on exploration.

Whether you are preparing for exams, assignments, or aspiring to work in aerospace, I support you in mastering the concepts that matter. Together, we explore the universe through physics and celebrate each discovery along the way. Join me, and let’s reach for the stars—and beyond.

My teaching approach in Physics is nurturing and personalized, focusing on helping students truly understand concepts rather than just memorize them. I integrate classical physics topics with modern computational methods, including numerical analysis, data visualization, and scientific programming basics. Students explore simulations to see physical laws in action, making learning interactive and engaging.

I emphasize subjects like mechanics, thermodynamics, electromagnetism, and quantum physics, while connecting them to computer modeling and computational experiments. Lessons are designed to encourage curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving, allowing students to experiment with code and models safely. I guide them in using software tools for simulations, which helps build strong analytical and computational skills.

With experience as a research assistant and a deep understanding of nuclear physics, I bring real-world insights into the classroom. I support students in tackling assignments, preparing for exams, and developing projects that reflect their understanding. Together, we celebrate computational achievements and discoveries in physics, turning challenges into learning milestones. My goal is to help students excel, gain confidence, and enjoy the beauty of physics through exploration and simulations.
