About Bryce
I've been teaching private lessons for over 5 years, and group piano lessons for 2 years. Throughout my undergraduate and masters degrees, I've taken strenuous courses in Music Theory and often was required to use that theory to write music for class assignments. I received my bachelors degree from Indiana University under the distinguished Menahem Pressler and my master's degree from BYU under Irene Peery-Fox. I've been blessed with very good training!

Each student has a different personality and enjoys different things; therefore a different approach to each student is necessary. It's important that students are involved in music they enjoy. Therefore, I tend to focus on different styles of music to teach whatever concepts the student needs, rather than force everyone to adopt a "one size fits all" approach. One of the most important things to do when learning new information is to relate it to things the student already understands. Learning new information from already-understood contexts, plus casting that info in a light that makes its benefit to the student clear is a recipe for success!
