About Ethan
I am an engineering undergraduate based in Glasgow who was been playing piano for 11 years. I worked my way through ABRSM grades but felt limited by their selection of pieces, I then decided to simply play for enjoyment and would learn songs of my favourite musicians and found I developed my skills better when I enjoyed what I was playing, after which I have returned to sitting the exams. So it is definitely not to say that there is no value in sitting exams and qualifications, rather a mix is ideal so that you can enjoy your development and smash the exams once your skills have already been built up in a no-pressure environment.

Half hour to hour, 1 to 1 lessons, I am qualified to grade 6 of ABRSM and eager to encourage anyone interested in pursuing piano either as a hobby, self interest or school (Highers, Nat 5s). I offer a more laid back, casual environment for lessons where you will have just as much input to encourage development and keep you interested in what you want to learn (as opposed to being ordered to drills of scale after scale). Creating music does not have to be a tedious activity.
