About Serenity
I have over 6 years of experience teaching piano both in-person and online. I earned my Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance with a focus on Pedagogy. My teaching philosophy emphasizes sight-reading fluency, analytical score study, and expressive performance of classical repertoire.
I work with students of all levels, from beginners to professional pianists. Lessons are adapted to individual needs, incorporating music history, theory, finger exercises, and period performance practices. I help students understand the structure and emotion behind each piece.
I focus on building technical skill while nurturing artistry. Students gain confidence reading, interpreting, and performing complex works. Lessons are engaging, tailored, and goal-oriented. I teach piano with an emphasis on integrating music theory into performance. Students explore fundamentals, chord progressions, inversions, and harmonic analysis. Lessons focus on applying theory practically at the keyboard.
I work with exam takers and classical performers to make learning relevant and goal-oriented. Exercises link theory concepts to real playing situations, including improvisation and composition. Each session is tailored to the student’s level and goals.
