About Ashley
I graduated from UMBC after studying Ancient Studies (Latin) and Modern Languages and Linguistics (French/German). I got my Masters at UMD and studied Classics (Latin). I have been teaching in Maryland public schools for the past nine years, working with high school students (grades 9-12). I have taught French, German, and Latin at various levels (level 1 through AP).

I'm a high school/middle school teacher who likes to work one on one with students to improve their language skills. That could involve immersion to practice speaking, guided language practice, and in depth grammar review, depending on the student's needs and goals. The focus is on comprehensive communication: Will a native speaker be able to understand you and will you be able to understand a native speaker?
