About Paris
Hi!
I’m Paris, and I’m looking to tutor so I can gain practical experience of teaching whilst I am at university, as it’s something I’d like to pursue in the future. I’m currently a first year student at Royal Holloway, and I study Politics and International Relations. I consistently achieve high grades in all of my modules, all of which have the majority of marks dedicated to essays.
During my academic career I have entered essay competitions, written articles for others, and I also took entirely essay based subjects at alevel (and I do one at degree level!); so I have vast experience of both formal and informal writing styles. I also have experience with research and with reading academic articles, and can help you with these if it is needed for school work.

As a tutor I will prepare a variety of materials for you, depending on what your individual needs are. My lessons will be delivered one to one over Microsoft Teams or Zoom- which one is up to you!
We will spend an hour together each session, although longer slots are available upon request. I will make sure the session is engaging, fun, and tailored to your needs and abilities- whether that be a cram revision session before a big exam (we’ve all been there!), learning how to write in an academic style for the first time, or helping you to understand the content in the course you are currently studying.
