About Rachael
Hi, my name is Rachael. I finished at the top of my school cohort with A*A*A at A-Level (A*s in Politics and English Literature, A in Geography).
I want to teach because a great teacher completely changed my life. I achieved my top grades while dealing with undiagnosed ADHD, so I know exactly what it feels like to feel stuck or overwhelmed.
I want to show you that you don’t need to be a "natural" writer to succeed; you just need clear strategies and a tutor who actually understands how your brain works!

No boring lectures or memorisation. Because of my ADHD, I know passive learning doesn't work. Instead, my lessons are collaborative, visual, and active.
We break down confusing mark schemes into simple, bite-sized checklists. I teach you to treat an essay like a building project: mapping out the structural skeleton before worrying about the perfect words. Using mind maps and real-time essay hacking, we turn the humanities into an enjoyable puzzle rather than a stressful chore.
Every standard 60-minute session follows a strict, predictable 4-part framework so we never waste time:
• 00–10 mins: The Review & Warm-up. We review the feedback from your last essay or homework task, pinpointing exactly what went well and what needs adjusting.
• 10–25 mins: Concept Demystification. We take one confusing syllabus topic or essay style and break it down into a simple, visual checklist.
• 25–50 mins: Real-Time Essay Hacking. The core of the lesson. Together, on a shared digital screen, we physically build a high-scoring paragraph or essay skeleton, applying the mark scheme directly.
• 50–60 mins: Action Plan. We lock in your specific goals for the week ahead and set a clear, bite-sized independent writing task to practise what you just learned.
Lesson Length
• 60 minutes: Standard session to maintain high engagement without brain fatigue.
• 90 minutes: For advanced exam prep, including short brain breaks.
Qualifications & Experience
• A*A*A at A-Level: Finished top of my school cohort with academic awards in Politics, English Literature, and Geography.
• Strong GCSE Foundation: Top grades across the board, including A*s in Biology and Chemistry, and As in Physics and Maths.
Who It’s For:
• GCSE (Ages 14–16): Building solid essay structures and overcoming exam anxiety.
• A-Level (Ages 16–18): Advanced source analysis and timing strategies to secure top A/A* grades.
• Neurodivergent Learners: Empathetic support for students with ADHD, dyslexia, or executive dysfunction.
