About Riccardo
Hi, My name is Riccardo,
I'm a professional musician and a guitar teacher with more than 10 years of experience ( currently teaching at HMDT Music school in Hackney ).
After all this time spent with students of all ages i've seen often the struggle when it comes to learn the Guitar and Music in general.
And the problem has always been that people don't have a study plan and after a while the guitar is collecting dust.
There's no a real secret at the end of the day.
It's really all about having a study plan (according to your goals) with the addition of patience, effort and lot of passion for Music.
With these few ingredients we can all achieve a good level of playing in few months.
I will try my Best so that You'll be able to play basic songs after few lessons, learn a bit (or a lot!) of music theory (very important!), develop a music sensibility and you'll see that every time you'll grab the guitar you won't feel bored and frustrated because you don't know what to do.
I truly believe that Music is Joy and one of the Best activities for all ages, if approached correctly.
I also want do add that the learning process of any subject should be FUN at all time, don't forget that!

Based on my experience, i found very important the understanding of music,
Music theory, the Philosophy behind it, the importance of chords, scales, songs structures, in order to be able to discover this language and to really understand how important can be for people of all ages!
Harmony and theory, Different hands techniques, Chords progression, Rhythm,
sight reading, guitar sound, are some of the arguments that i like to explore and teach to my students, according to their requests of course!
How to Play SONGS, analize and understand how to correctly play them, is by far, the topic that i enjoy the most while teaching and i strongly believe that it's one of the most important subjects that everyone needs to be comfortable with to appreciate the guitar and music in general.
I like to plan my lesson very carefully to give the best i can to my students, no matter if is on a beginner or an advanced level.
Even if the goal of the student is just to have fun and share nice moments with some friends, I can find the right method for it!
Of course all of this will be mixed with practice and fun with the instruments! I'm a music lover and I listen all kind of music!
i also write my own music which i think is the most exciting side of being a musician and a music lover.
Teaching Music, in particular Guitar, is a big part of who I am. I really love the moment of interaction during the lesson between the Student and the Teacher, and how can really go beyond the lesson itself.
The students, of any ages, are looking primarily for inspiration and fun with the instrument, and that’s a big Responsibility for me, and I really think is the fundamental key to be a very good teacher.
I always say that playing an instrument is another way of communication and expression for any kind of person, very often even better than Words.
I do believe that the more tools we have to express ourselves in life, the more there will be a better Society.
