About Lindsay
As a postgraduate in English, I provide professional, supportive tutoring for Primary to GCSE students, including homeschooling support. I have homeschooled students in English for the past five years, from Primary to Secondary GCSE level, including students with neurodivergence. With a background in publishing and proofreading, I bring strong language and analytical skills to my teaching. I am an avid reader who values creativity, critical thinking, and helping students build confidence in their abilities. I am passionate about ensuring every student feels supported in their learning, as I strongly believe education is not a one-size-fits-all approach.

My approach is supportive, engaging, and tailored to each individual's needs and learning style. I focus on building confidence alongside academic progress, creating lessons that are structured, encouraging, and enjoyable.
I use a mixture of discussion, guided practice, model examples, and targeted feedback to help students strengthen their reading, writing, comprehension, and analytical skills. For GCSE students, I also focus on exam technique, revision strategies, and improving written responses.
Lessons are 60 minutes long, or shorter sessions can be arranged for younger learners. Each lesson is planned around clear goals while remaining flexible to suit the student’s pace and areas needing extra support.
