About James
I am a postgraduate who has studied English Literature at both BA and MA level. I received a first class BA from King's College London and an MA with distinction from University College London. I am fairly new to tutoring having just finished my own education. Previously I studied Fine Art at Central Saint Martins so my understanding of the Humanities is fairly broad.

I believe in structuring lessons quite thoroughly yet allowing for some flexibility of movement that encourages the student to consider the topic in new and exciting ways. Most important to me is a reciprocity between the tutor and the student whereby both are working towards the same goal. I am most interested in teaching students who have a commitment to a project. That being said, if a student is struggling with motivation I hope to offer ways to overcome any inertia. I am happy to teach all levels.
