The transition to a regulated profession, where time and cost are the key restricting design factors, can be stressful to both students and employers.

While architecture students acquire the necessary design skills during their Part I - Part II education, universities fail to equip students with the baseline understanding of Architecture as a strictly regulated design profession until students reach their Part III level. In a competitive market, this limits employment opportunities to many talented candidates and contributes to low salaries.

As a qualified Architect and a Part III mentor at ADP Architecture, I offer mentorship to students struggling with the transition to a professional environment. I actively contribute my time to making the profession accessible to talent from all backgrounds and can offer direction to securing work placement or help broaden the understanding of the profession in line with the Professional Criteria at Part III level. The journey to becoming an Architect can vary, therefore I hope to bring a realistic perspective which addresses candidates’ personal circumstances.
