About Toby
I have been an experienced teacher in mainstream education for a number of years after receiving my PGCE from the University of St Mary's. I am also an EFL (English as a foreign language) teacher in my previous career and this further sets me apart.
I have prepared children for SATS who have previously struggled and they have gone on to achieve excellent results at their secondary schools. I have experience working in private and secondary schools with SEN children. I also can teach secondary school children to GCSE and beyond due to my qualifications. I went to a highly academic school as a child myself (Winchester College) and I am ready to help you on your journey.
My experience, qualifications and commitment to teaching are demonstrable and clear with my experience and qualifications. As a teacher for the National Tuition Programme, I have a strong understanding of what a child needs to progress in their education. I look forward to working with you.

- Teaching in Primary Schools for a number of years. In both a classroom environment and on a one to one basis. Prepared children for SATs. I vary how I teach depending on the child's knowledge and I will assess them summatively and formatively in order to identify any gaps in their knowledge.
- Classics Degree as well as a PGCE so I can teach Latin and Greek.
- Length: Usually 2 hours. Flexible on length.
- Part of the National Tuition Programme for a number of years teaching in Primary Schools around London, PGCE in Primary Education (University of St Mary's). As a tutor I taught the core subjects and as a class teacher, the core and foundation subjects.
-Primary Education: KS1,KS2 . Can also teach KS3, KS4. I also teach Latin and Greek to University Standard. Also I am a musician so I can teach guitar and I did this when I was a class teacher.
