About Bethany

I am enthusiastic and motivated and enjoy working with young people and the challenges they present! My main motivation in teaching and learning is to ensure that every learner achieves success and is encouraged to view education as a positive, enhancing force.
I enjoy exercise - having competed in functional fitness competitions - and walking my dog. I love to spend time cooking and being creative. It is my focus to ensure my pupils love learning and I look to include their interests and hobbies, as well as mine, in my lessons to ensure they are interesting and interactive.

About the lesson

I am a qualified BA Hons Primary School Teacher from Scotland who has experience teaching the Curriculum for Excellence (Scotland), The National Curriculum (England), the IB Curriculum and the Australian Curriculum. I have three years of experience teaching online.
My main motivation in teaching and learning is to ensure that every learner achieves success and is encouraged to view education as a positive, enhancing force. I am committed to making changes to my practice to make improvements for learners and am proactive in implementing these changes. I feel that learners respond well to me due to the range of interpersonal skill I possess as well as my enthusiasm and creativity in the classroom. I can provide an environment where children feel safe, listened to and respected.
I have high expectations of pupils and maintain these through planning and delivering challenging learning activities and am able to determine an appropriate pace of work for individuals. I am of the opinion that learners have the right to receive an education appropriate to their needs and abilities. Managing behaviour fairly, sensitively and consistently in accordance with agreed policies is an integral part of that process and my teaching experience has given me the opportunity to work with learners exhibiting a wide variety of learning and behavioural challenges.

My lessons are for primary school aged pupils and would last between 45 minutes and one hour.
