About Lubna
I am a friendly, dedicated, and passionate English tutor that thrives in helping students to achieve the best possible grades and significantly improve their self-esteem in relation to their academic pursuits.
Not all students believe that they more than capable in attaining brilliant grades and I am here to try and make a difference. I strongly believe that each student should be rewarded with the chance to exhibit their amazing skills and achieve great results!
Furthermore, my hobbies amongst tutoring also include travelling, working out, reading, and watching a variety of different films and shows!

Having privately tutored GCSE English Language and Literature for two years, I have developed a pronounced set of skills, allowing me to tailor each all of my lessons specifically to the needs of each and every student!
Said skills include active listening, effective communication, time management, initiative, and most importantly, patience and a constructive approach. Throughout my time tutoring, 100% of my students have achieved grades 5-9 (A**-C).
Typically, an online lesson with me would last around 1-2 hours, depending on a student's personal preference and the topic being taught. A more detailed and content heavy would naturally result in a longer lesson whereas covering a bank of exam questions or papers may result in a shorter lesson duration. As I reassure all students and parents, online lessons are equally as effective as in-person sessions - cameras remain on during lessons to maximise communication and I use powerpoint presentations and screen-sharing to encourage visual learning.
