About Georgia
I am a yoga, hula hoop, and dance instructor. I work with kids and adults. I have taught in Canada and in various countries in Europe. I have had the pleasure to teach in three different languages, English, Greek, and Spanish. My academic background includes graduating with a diploma in Exercise Science at Lethbridge College, a diploma in Nutrition & Health Coaching, and a 200RYT from the respected school of Association Yoga & Meditation in Rishikesh, India.

When I work with adults, I base my classes on bringing awareness to the body and connecting it with the mind through a series of breathing techniques. Following that, we gently warm up the body by moving according to the rhythm of our breath; inhale we expand, exhale we contract. We continue with a series of balancing and strengthening postures that flow dynamically and help the body open up areas where could hold tension, such as, hips, upper/lower back, and shoulders.
With children, I engage in postures that are combined with a story or meaning so they can become one with the pose. For example, if we are in boat pose, I can describe to them a story of them on a boat which is sailing to an island with hidden treasures, dinosaurs etc. Something that opens up their imagination.
