About Mo
Hi there, my name's Mo :). I have just finished my MEng in Chemical Engineering at UCL, and I'm about to take a year out of my studies to dedicate all my time to tutoring. I am eager to help teach those of all levels, and I'm confident not only in my maths skills, but also my ability to portray difficult concepts in an easy-to-understand, manageable way. Throughout my time as a tutor, I have taught individuals of all ages (from 6 to 35), at all different levels (from the beginning of school to A-Levels) and from all parts of the world. I have also tutored for several years in Biology, Chemistry and Physics, and even some English for younger children and those who do not speak English as their first language. This in particular I have found thoroughly rewarding and enjoyable. My schedule is flexible, and I'm happy to add in multiple sessions each week to accommodate your needs, even during the Summer. I'm prompt and presentable, and most of all, I'm enthusiastic about my subjects. The main thing that I try to instil in my students is the idea that maths is NOT about the answers. I never want my students to be afraid of getting things wrong. I encourage them to get things wrong. I want them to ask me questions, and then ask more questions until they understand fully. Don't hesitate to get in contact with me about any questions you may have. I look forward to hearing from you!

I like to make the lesson structure flexible so that my students get the individual help that they need. Generally this follows a template such as: - We'll start with an in-depth conversation about what my students want to work on - whether that be certain specific topics or skills, or exam practice etc. - We will then get to doing fully worked examples and questions. I like using Miro board as an interactive whiteboard so that we can both write down our workings and I can identify how my students structure their workings. Or, I share my screen and write out my workings as I go along so my students can clearly follow my methods and workings if they do not have an electronic device available to write on. - I will then give my students questions to do independently. Whilst they do the question, I ask them to explain their workings to me so that I know they understand not only how to do the question, but the theory behind the questions. I write out the workings they explain to me so that we can easily identify any errors/room for improvement/they write it out themselves. - I often dedicate some time during the session to go over topics that we did a few weeks ago as well to ensure that the topics we've covered remain fresh in my students' minds.

Personally, I believe that Mo is a wonderful tutor as he helped assist my son to go from a grade 5 in maths to a grade 8 in a short span of months. He clearly explained topics which were difficult for my child, and helped him until he understood the topic.
Mo is an amazing tutor. Last year he taught my son, he was not doing too well with his A-levels but with Mo’s help, my son regained his confidence and smashed them. He is now studying Finance in London School of Economics, which has always been a dream of his. I couldn’t thank Mo enough
