Laura Richmond completed a PhD by laboratory research in the field of Genetics in my group at the University of Glasgow (2013-2018). Laura has graduate knowledge in a wide area of molecular and cellular biology, especially genetics.

Laura worked with Time-Tastical Productions to develop science communication shows. She was responsible for explaining science content in simple and jargon-free ways to allow anyone to understand and gain knowledge. The science content was made up of content from the Curriculum for Excellence and also research from the University of Glasgow.

While delivering shows to the public Laura also answered a huge range of science questions, and always ensured that the answers she gave were easily understood and accurate.

Laura has a natural talent for simplifying complicated science, while at the same time framing it in easily relatable contexts to make it memorable. As a college lecturer with over a decade of teaching experience, I would have no hesitation in recommending Laura as a tutor.
