About Valerie
I have been performing since I was 2 years old and started off singing, dancing and acting at the Lucia Marthas Institute of Performing Arts in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. I have performed at festivals and TV shows all around the UK, the Netherlands and all over Europe. I have recorded backing vocals for artists and worked on music for film soundtracks and trailers. I'm also part of a professional function and wedding band.
I am very passionate about music and singing, and I love sharing my passion with students. Singing is not only enjoyable, it is also a great way to build up confidence and to improve mental health. My main aim is to make the singing lessons enjoyable as well as informative!

I studied Popular Music Vocals in London at Tech Music Schools and got my Bachelor Degree 2012 from the University of West London. I have been teaching and working as a professional function and session singer ever since.
Lessons are centred around the students ability and experience, and focus on building technique and confidence, all whilst singing songs the student enjoys. I teach pop music and musical theatre, and I have a lot of experience teaching grades and preparing students for college and university auditions. I'm happy to teach students aged 8 and upwards, butI do have experience teaching younger ages, if the student shows interest and promise.
30 minute lessons are £20 and 60 minute lessons are £35. All lessons are taught at my home studio.
