About Laura
I am a professional flautist and currently work as assistant principal flautist with the Balearic Islands Symphony Orchestra. I hold two master's degrees in flute performance (Sibelius Academy in Helsinki and the Liceu Conservatory in Barcelona) and a bachelor's degree in music education (Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, Finland). I have performed as a flautist with various symphony orchestras in Spain and Finland and have over 10 years of teaching experience, primarily with advanced students and musicians pursuing professional careers. We specifically work on: • Orchestral excerpts commonly used in auditions • Orchestral style, tempo, articulation, and character • Efficient study strategies • Mental preparation and pressure management • Audition simulations and detailed feedback. When necessary, I incorporate body techniques and mindfulness tools, especially useful for working on tension, breathing, and stage presence. The classes are 100% online, with a highly effective format for this type of preparation. The classes are designed for: • Undergraduate or Master's students • Musicians preparing for auditions in Spanish or European orchestras • Flutists at an advanced or pre-professional level • Professionals who wish to improve their audition performance
