About Caroline
I started singing after graduating from Durham University with a degree in music specialising in composition. My operatic roles have since included the title role of Tosca for Heritage Opera; Fiordiligi (Cosi fan Tutte) for Opera UK and Birmingham Chamber Orchestra; Queen of the Night (Die Zauberflöte) for British Youth Opera and Surrey Opera; Clorinda (La Cenerentola) and Adina (L’elisir d’amore) for Vox Lirika, Tatyana (Eugene Onegin) for Birmingham Chamber Opera and Gilda (cover) (Rigoletto) for Heritage Opera. I played the Lace Seller (Death in Venice) in the Aldeburgh Festival, directed by Yoshi Oida; a role I performed at the Bregenz Festival where I also appeared as the ZDF Director and Airport Officer in Benedict Mason’s Playing Away, directed by David Pountney.
As a concert performer I have sung in venues including the Royal Albert Hall, Birmingham Symphony Hall, Cadogan Hall and Queen Elizabeth Hall as well as in performances on BBC Radio 3. I have sung as a soloist internationally performing works including Brahms’ Requiem, Haydn’s Creation, Mahler’s Symphony No.4, Mozart’s Exsultate, Jubilate, Vivaldi’s Gloria, Handel’s Messiah, Schubert’s Magnificat, Poulenc’s Gloria and Wagner’s Wesendonck Lieder.
As a session singer I have sung with the BBC Singers, RSVP Voices and Conventus and now offer session recordings online, recording for clients around the world. I have received coaching from David Syrus, Mary King, Anthony Legge and Donald Maxwell and continue my vocal development with Arwel Treharne Morgan.
Now based in Shropshire, I still enjoy performing but am now expanding my teaching practice from home as well as online.

As a professional performer and Durham University graduate I have a wealth of knowledge and experience that I offer every student who works with me!
I enjoy helping people at any level in their musical development and tailor lessons to suit each student's needs with a strong focus on breathing, improving vocal stamina, natural range and physical relaxation to help you find your own unique sound.
My lessons usually last 1 hour but I also teach 30 or 45 minutes if preferred.
