About Laura
My name is Laura, I am a performing artist, guitarist and songwriter based in Yorkshire. Having graduated with a first class degree from Leeds Conservatoire, and continuing to actively gig and work within the music industry, I have now chosen to also focus on education and tutoring.
My credentials include:
- First class BA (Hons) Music (Songwriting) degree from Leeds conservatoire.
- Active songwriter and performing musician with 7+ years of industry experience.
- Grade 6 Distinction Classical guitar.
- Grade 5 Distinction Music Theory.
My goal as a tutor is to aid and encourage a student's existing passion for music. Capitalising on my past and varied experience in my own music education and work within the industry, I look to create a bespoke, student-led and engaging learner experience.
Lessons should be fun and inspiring, so if you have particular goals you wish to achieve on the guitar, or want to lay a foundation of music knowledge to start creating and exploring your own music, don't hesitate to reach out.

Lessons can be delivered in 30 minute or 60 minute chunks, with the focus always being centred around what the student wishes to learn. This student-led approach means that whether you're looking to progress through graded examinations, learn the songs you love but can't master on your own, or have never picked up a guitar or written a song before, we'll be able to find the right teaching style for you.
I'm extremely passionate about music and the connection it bridges between people. If you feel the same, or want to begin exploring this world to find out, I would love to work with you in starting your journey as a guitarist, songwriter, and/or performer.

Details
4 Lessons Batch Plan.
I charge for lessons in batches of 4 and will send an invoice prior to our first lesson.
It is then up to you how regularly you chose to schedule in these lessons within a 4 month period.
IMPORTANT: This fee must have been successfully transferred before tuition can begin.
Fees.
I teach in 30 minute and 60 minute time slots.
£25 / 60 minutes, £15 / 30 minutes.
